I spent my first summer in Sea Isle City when Eisenhower was the President so needless to say a lot of things have changed since then. People used to rent a summer cottage for hundreds of dollars each season and purchase one for less than ten thousand dollars. They were little time capsules that never changed from year to year and the people that rented them liked it that way. The only thing that the owner had to do to “get ready” for the season was to show up the week before and open the windows “just to air it out a little”.Managing them was easy. It’s not like that anymore is it?
